Erin and Matt sent a message to us looking for us to do some pre-ceremony wedding photography with them. They went and had a courthouse wedding together and were wanting photos around Tacoma. We were of course excited as this was our first session like this. It wasn’t a full wedding day and it allowed us hours to shoot with just the couple. This sweet couple are from Canada and looking to transition into a new life together as husband and wife. We couldn’t have been more thrilled to have been asked to get these photos with them.

We met in Tacoma, Washington at the Spanish Steps where we took the majority of our photos. Erin had just recently hurt her leg and so moving around a ton wasn’t an option. When I got there she was on crutches and was noticeably in pain as we walked around. She was a trooper though and walked with us as we setup the shots and smiled for shots. We began with the Spanish steps and shot with them in that area for a good portion. With good shots there we went over to a local campus where we were able to grab some more shots.

After that location we scooted quickly over to the local piers where we were able to grab some more photos with them looking out into the puget sound and the haze from all of the fires. From there we hustled back over to the Spanish Steps where we met with their families and took family photos before they were off to the courthouse to get married.
