NATIONAL MALL COUPLES PHOTOGRAPHY

Check out our Washington, D.C. couples photography sessions for more sessions like this National Mall couples photography session in the area.

When I started planning out the trip to come back to Washington, D.C. I started advertising in the area. With the promotions I was looking to add more sessions while I was in the area. I had done a session at Kings Dining for 5 hours and then had driven through the night. The day after the engagement session in Philadelphia I drove over to Washington, D.C. This National Mall couples photography session was the 2nd shoot of the day after a maternity session.

Initially we were looking to meet at the Washington Monument to start off our session. When we talked on the phone we quickly realized the wind was too much at that location. After some discussion we opted to meet on the side of the reflection pool and began our session there. Walking up I could pick them out as they had a beautiful doberman pinscher, Cato. They brought their fur baby along to get beautiful family photos together.

WASHINGTON, D.C. COUPLES PHOTOGRAPHY

We started on the path right next to the reflecting pool sheltered from some of the wind and sun. People walking by couldn’t help but look at them and Cato as they all looked great! As we walked down the path I saw a beautiful monument off to the side in Ash Woods. We went over to it and did some beautiful photos in and around the monument. Once we got some good shots there we walked toward the Lincoln Memorial and stopped at the forested area. Here got some beautiful images under the trees with the fall colors behind them. Cato wasn’t a huge fan of water so we didn’t get too close to the water. However we did get some more shots near the reflecting pool with Cato before moving on. Our next stop was the Organization of American States to wrap up our session together.

There’s so much beautiful history and so many picturesque monuments in D.C. National Mall area. We’d love to come back year after year to get more photos showing off your love for one another in one of America’s most well known locations. Contact us and let us know if you’re interested in a session in the area and we’ll plan out a trip and work with your schedule to make it happen!
