Boston is one of our favorite cities in the United States and it has some of the greatest people we’ve met while traveling. It’s so diverse and after taking 2 travel contracts there we’ve made good friends in the area.

On our first contract in Boston we made a connection that we will cherish forever. Clémence (who we did a Carlisle wedding photography session with later) hired us to capture some courthouse wedding photos between two of her friends from France who were living in Boston. For this Back Bay apartment lifestyle newborn photography session with Laura and Simon, we had just gotten back to Boston for our second travel contract. Clémence referred Laura and Simon to us knowing they were looking for some photos and they had just had their baby Arthur.

BACK BAY NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

Driving through the Back Bay area looking for their apartment we really loved the older architecture of the area. The apartments were all still styled with more colonial feeling designs and we loved it. When we got up to their apartment we loved it! The vaulted ceilings, all the moldings, etc. were beautiful and we were so excited to meet them.

It was really great to get to know them and expand our network. They’re such a sweet couple – to be fair we’ve loved all the friends from France Clémence has introduced us to. After a quick nursing and some rearranging of some furniture (which we often do for sessions) we got under way.

BOSTON NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER

We started with some blankets and setting him in front of their bay windows in the light coming in. The light was so perfect and moody and we did some different positioning for a while before introducing parents to the shots. We did some with them together and then some with each parent individually holding their son.

It was really great getting to meet them and we’re so thankful to Clémence for introducing us to another sweet couple. We look forward to returning to Back Back and connecting with them in the future. If you’re adding to your family, congratulations!
