It’s always a fun time getting together with the Green family. We’ve had some fun adventures for photo sessions and they’ve always been game to try out new spots and concepts. The kids are always sweet and respectful of toward me while usually being typical siblings toward one another. They always addressed me as “Mr. James” before asking questions or giving ideas for a photo. To start out this Burg Lichtenberg family photographer session we went straight up to the castle’s tower to get aa great view. Once we were at the top of the tower we all took a couple of minutes to recover from the walk up. The kids were running around to each of the windows and checking out the views that can be seen in any direction. I was giving the dollar tour and pointing out where things were before we decided to get going with photos.

With the parents still needing a moment after the hike I began the session with the children. First shot was with the twins and then individual photos of each of them. After that I got them all together for a photo with all the siblings hugging and smiling. We did some pictures of the whole family here before we made our way down the tower into the interior of the castle. Near the tower there’s a great wall to sit on that overlooks the interior of the castle and has mountains in the background. To get things going on the wall I did some photos with the kids sitting and then brought in the parents.

KUSEL CASTLE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

With all of them up there I did a variety of poses standing as well as sitting. Around the corner attached to the tower there’s an archway I went to next. Here I got more shots with the twins and then some of the sisters. I always try to incorporate different combinations so here I did photos of just the females and then just the males. Before leaving this spot I got some of just the adults. With time being a factor I said we should start making our way out to the field to get our last shots. On the way I suggested that we do some shots walking on the cobblestone.

As we got to the entrance of the interior of the castle I had them pose on the rubble. Before we left the castle we did one more stop at one of my favorite spots. The princess tower usually has good lighting and you can get some of the hills behind. I got some photos here and then some of them under the archway of the main entrance. Thinking we got some good photos here we made our way to the cars to drive to the overlook. It’s not a long walk up to the overlook from the castle but it’s easier and quicker to drive up.
