ARRINGTON VINEYARD PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Alex sent an email over our way late April to discuss the possibility of having us capture his proposal. They met while attending Meharry Medical College together and began their relationship locally in Nashville. Their residencies took them to opposite ends of the country but they continued dating long distance. Some of their friends and family remain here in the Nashville area so some of them were able to come how their love and support in person. Through the month or two that lead up to this Arrington Vineyard proposal photography session Alex was extremely thorough with his planning. There were contingencies for rain, sharing his location once on his way so I knew where they were and coordination with the venue as well as friends.

As I arrived I got to explore the Arrington Vineyard grounds and it is a beautiful venue. Thanks to the preparation by Alex I knew right where to go and found her family helping set up the scene. They were setting up a row of sunflowers in jars, sunflowers are Jo’s favorite flowers, for where Alex would pop the question. I moved around some picnic tables and trash cans with the help of family and then got word they were on their way. I found myself a little spot to hide in thinking I was safe from their entry. As I was waiting they came right to where I was and I had to act quickly to not give anything away so I pretended to be mid conversation on my phone and walked away.

NASHVILLE PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Once they were set I followed them to the spot where Alex got down on one knee. Friends and family cheered from the barn as they had a great view from the second floor. They all met up outside of the barn and congratulated them before we went back to the hill for more photos. Once we went through the pictures with friends and family we made our way to the tasting room. Here they sat around the table sampling the best wine’s from Arrington and enjoying each other’s company. While here I was approached by someone from an adjoining tasting room and they asked me if I could sneak away to capture their Arrington Vineyard proposal photos.

After I snuck out to capture Josh + Alex’s proposal photos I came back and grabbed Alex and Jo. The sun was beginning to go down so I wanted to make sure we could get some photos of just the two of them. To begin, I had them pose between rows of grapevines together. From there we went back to the hill to reenact the proposal just to make sure we had the best photos possible. After that we went down to another row of vines to get some of them posing together. To finish out this Arrington Vineyard proposal photography session I had them walk together through another row of grapevines. It was such a privilege to be able to meet these two amazing people. I’m incredibly honored to have been asked to be apart of their special moment and provide these beautiful photos for them.
