Matt and I first began talking about having us come back this spring to provide them with The Elks at Bass Rocks wedding photography. We had no idea that we’d already crossed paths at a previous event ini Boston. Matt hosts a radio show and had been at the Mayo Bowl, my first photo session in Boston. As we talked during the engagement session I even found a photo with Matt in it I took. Our minds were slightly blown that we’d been at the same event and already run into one another. With their wedding to take place in Gloucester, we opted for a local engagement.

As we began to talk about doing an engagement session, the Allyn Cox Reservation came up and I sent over a photo that I had gotten of Rachel in the field and they were sold. Leave it the the weather to not cooperate the day of our session, we did what we could to make the best of it. I put on the flash to provide some light pops and they were great as we did different things with the flash. We began our Allyn Cox Reservation engagement photography session in the fields right off the path. We then continued our way over to the water’s edge and the Clamshell Landing. Here we got some beautiful pictures of them standing, dancing and sitting on the beach near the Essex River.

GLOUCESTER ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

We wrapped up our Allyn Cox Reservation engagement photography session together in the dark. We played with some more back lit shots and I put the remote flash behind them. Aiming for some fun rim lit silhouette shots I got some fun shots. We made our way back to our cars and talked about our plans coming up. I was jealous as I was going to go work more and they were off to get a Christmas tree!

The Gloucester area is so beautiful during both off and on seasons and we’d love to come back. We’d love to do another Allyn Cox Reservation engagement photography session or anything in the area. We’re already looking forward to coming back for several weddings this coming 2018 summer and we’d love to keep coming back. Contact us and tell us about your New England area wedding!
