The Gilpatric family was one of our first family sessions when we arrived in the Boston area and they had contacted us before we had arrived in the area as we had started to advertise for the area before we had arrived and were still in Seattle. Anna was due a few weeks after we would arrive in Boston and so we kept the date open until we heard that baby Gilpatric had arrived.
Once we got word we got into motion to schedule a session and firm up our schedules. Arriving at their home we found that it was a beautiful home filled with laughter and joy as their eldest (who was 2) was full of energy; she was shy to start but then warmed up and was such a joy to work with. We began our session in the Gilpatric living room and then opted to get some outdoor shots. We crossed the street where they had an open forested area where were able to grab some fun photos with them as a whole, individually and with their newest addition.

Once we had spent a fair amount of time outside getting some fun photos, we moved indoors to warm up and finish the shoot inside. Our first stop was the master bedroom where we got some photos of the Gilpatrics with their newest addition and then moved over to the bathroom where I used some mirrors and the family crib to get some fun and creative shots. Our session concluded in the nursery where we got some more individual shots with mom and dad. It was such an honor and joy to be invited into their home to capture some sweet memories with them and I had such a blast with them.

Even though we are based in Denver, CO we are continually traveling to different areas and often returning to areas to visit and do sessions.
