Over the past couple years I’ve interacted with Eric from afar. When we moved to Germany we had to find a lawyer in Colorado Springs. I found Eric’s law firm and he was assigned our case to represent us. Over the next couple of years we’ve been in touch periodically. It wasn’t until we moved back to the states that I actually got to meet him in person. I flew out to Colorado Springs for a hearing and to bring back some stuff to our new home. I brought my camera on the trip as I had a few sessions lined up while I was there. The morning of the hearing I drove down and decided to bring my camera just in case. After the hearing Eric and I sat and talked and decided we could do some headshots with him after his other hearings.

He was beginning his own law firm and was wanting new headshots. Once we was finished with his other hearings we met on top of a parking garage in downtown Colorado Springs. The parking garage has a beautiful overlook of the downtown area with the beautiful Rockies in the background. With it being mid day I angled to have the light work with me as best I could to also capture the Pioneer Museum and the Rockies. To continue this Downtown Colorado Springs business photography session we went down in front of the mining museum. Here we used the classic architecture of the building to lend a hand with the lawyer feels.

LAWYER HEADSHOT PHOTOGRAPHY

I used the shade from the building to help with lighting before moving to the next spot. After that we walked downtown a little to find a brick wall to shoot in front of. Here we got some different shots with various looks he may have with wardrobe on a given day. We also got some more action shots of him talking and working on his phone. Happy with the shots here we went to a local coffee shop, Loyal Coffee, to grab a few last photos. Here we actually ran into a group of photographers that I stopped and talked with before finishing the session. With both of our time being limited we called it a wrap and I went back up to Denver to get a rental car. Rachel’s dad and I drove stuff we had at their house while we were in Germany from Denver to Nashville for the next 17 hours.
