DOWNTOWN COLORADO SPRINGS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

Check out our Colorado Springs family photography sessions for more sessions like this downtown Colorado Springs family photography session in the area.

Facebook connected the Kieffer family and I and through some conversations we chose to work together. The first session was for a Fox Run Regional Park boudoir photography session with Erin. After that we kept in touch until we were doing some downtown Colorado Springs family photography mini sessions. It was a day we’d selected for a bunch of mini sessions with good weather. We were happy to include the Kieffer family and their children into the mini session schedule. There were a number of really fun and beautiful alleyways downtown and we made use of a couple of them. There were a couple different alleys that were in close proximity to get a good variety of shots.

We began our session with all of them walking down the alley together, hand in hand. With a number of girls to corral it made for a fun little adventure to get them all focused. We had a blast with them though and then switched to just the 3 little ones. They were so cute together and how they interacted with one another! We went to different locations with the 3 of them trying different things and getting them to smile and laugh. Getting to see all their little smiles together was so cute and fun.

After that we went to another alley and got some pictures of the parents together. Then we went and got individual shots of each child. They were little models as each of them posed and they all loved being in front of the camera.

Every now and then we may put together days or weekends that will have back to back mini sessions. Usually they are about 30-45 minutes long where we can squeeze in a bunch of shots. Urban areas like Downtown Colorado Springs provide a great area to do mini sessions as it provides a lot of diversity in a small area. If you’d like to do a mini session, let us know and we’ll put together a day where we can do a number of mini sessions together!
