With getting ready to open a new location in Seaport, Boston – Kings Dining & Entertainment hired a bunch of new employees for the staff needed to run the new location. Kings planned a training and orientation for all the new employees to introduce the new employees to the Kings culture. The new managers were all there, all had transferred from other stores and been working with Kings for years in various positions. Each of the executives that work for Kings, The Kingpins, had been working for Kings for many years and all started as bartenders, hosts, servers, etc. and worked their way up through the company. I really enjoyed this evening and getting to know the culture behind Kings Dining & Entertainment, it made me really enjoy working with them and want to work for them long term myself.
They started off the evening with meet and greets where all the new employees signed in and talked with their respective manager teams. The night was filled with motivational talks, policies that were upheld in the company and lots of laughter. They did a great job with intertwining the training aspects with humor to make the experience a lot of fun. The whole night was at the Seaport Hotel which was a beautiful venue that accommodated the training perfectly.

They had several days of training afterward for each of the different positions that took place at their new Seaport location and it was fun to see them when they opened and how much they’d come together and picked up things they were getting trained.
